There are dozens of places to get your Jean Reno fix than having to resort to this big fat lot of no-fun. But on that point we seem to all be in agreement.

My humble suggestion: If you’re making a Godzilla movie, then have him look like Godzilla, not some kind of weird Alien with an underbite.

I remember all the hype for the ’98 version. Supposed to be the greatest movie of all time. Was a real letdown when the family rented it. . . .

Mmmmm, no, no, they’re just plain fun, no Ed Wood to it.

I don’t really care which “take” the new filmmakers go with. The most important thing for a movie like this is to get the character right, which the 98 version completely failed at.
