I should add: MM says (in his appearance at Joe Mallozzi’s book-club) that Stormbringer was originally conceived as a novel, and the exigencies of magazine publishing forced the book to appear as a series of novellas, so the novel was not really a fix-up. Sort of a fix-down, or something.
